A Letter from our Director
The goal of our school is to provide a quality, Christ-centered private school program that challenges and encourages children to achieve their fullest potential. We know how precious your child is to you and value the responsibility of caring for them while they are away from you. Therefore, each teacher has been chosen to reflect the ideals and goals of the school and church.
City Church Academy is a private school that admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, or school-administered programs.
Our entire staff is honored and committed to providing education and care that produces happy, loving, independent, respectful, and successful children. Working together we can meet that goal!
To provide quality academic readiness and child care in a Christ-centered, nurturing, hands-on environment.
To provide an environment in which children learn and discover the love of Christ and that they are image-bearers of God. We are dedicated to the spiritual, physical, social and academic development of all children entrusted to our daily care.

Eugene and Laura Smith
City Church Academy began in 2007 as a result of the vision of Pastor Eugene & Laura Smith, following the purchase of the Page Academy School building on Airport Blvd in Sanford. Beginning as a preschool, CCA was founded by committed teachers who, on their own time, went door to door into the neighborhoods, inviting families to enroll their preschoolers.
In just a few short years, CCA began adding elementary years, starting with Kindergarten, and continuing through 5th grade. In 2020, CCA relocated to its brand new state-of-the-art building at 1701 Orange Blvd in Sanford, and is now preparing for expansion to include middle and eventually a private high school program on the same property, where it will continue to raise champions and scholars to be world changers for Jesus.
Research has revealed the importance of the formative years, which is why we begin our school with early childhood education. Their experiences significantly influence their overall development and attitudes. The effectiveness of a program plays a vital part in preparing the child for their future success. Children are individuals, developing at their own pace with distinct needs, varying learning styles, and abilities. Concepts regarding God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, family, the natural world, and others are the basis for our private school curriculum,
Developmental/Biblical education teaches children by meeting the developmental needs of the child and the values of the Judeo/Christian faith.
We provide a warm, loving climate where children feel cared for and secure thereby enabling them to be receptive to new experiences. The physical environment is bright, varied, and stimulating with numerous materials of various levels of difficulty provided in order to meet individual interests and developmental needs.
